Your Core Isn’t the Problem. Your Legs Are.

Many women often tell a similar story:
“My back hurts.”
“I know my core is weak.”
“I need to strengthen my abs.”

But here’s the truth most people don’t hear:
It’s not always your core.
More often than not, your legs just aren’t strong enough.

When your leg muscles are underdeveloped (think glutes, quads, and hamstrings) they cannot support your structure. This results in your body has to borrow stability from somewhere else. Usually that “somewhere” is your lower back or your pelvic floor.
And that compensation pattern? That’s what starts making you feeling tight, achy, or in outright pain.

It’s not that your core doesn’t matter. Of course it does.
But the core & hip musculature were always meant to work together. With your hips being capable of doing way more.
Your legs are supposed to do the heavy lifting — literally.

Strong legs = a supported core.
Strong glutes = less pressure on the pelvic floor.
Strong quads + hamstrings = a spine that doesn’t have to fight for its life every time you stand up, carry a kid, or do a deadlift.

Here’s the part most people skip:
You cannot fix a pelvic floor that’s taking on work your legs should be doing. And you can’t “core exercise” your way out of a weak lower body.

So what do you do?
You build your foundation.
You learn how to PROPERLY squat, hinge, and lunge in a way that actually strengthens the muscles that are meant to support you.
YOU rebuild the system from the ground up so your core can finally do its real job — stability, not survival.

Want to feel stronger?
Want your back to chill out?
Want your pelvic floor to stop yelling at you?

Then start with your legs. Not with more crunches. Not with more “deep core activation.” Legs first. Everything else follows.

If you’re tired of feeling like your body is fighting against you, let's get you into the program that actually addresses the root cause, not just works around the symptoms.

I love training. I love training hard. I love to challenge my body and push the limits. I think you should too. I also think there’s a better way to do it. I’ve spent 20 years working as a trainer/coach. 20 years of getting people started. 20 years of helping people navigate injury. I’ve dedicated my life to watching people learn, grow, and get strong AF. Every single person I’ve had the pleasure to work with has left a lasting impact on me and how I train. I do this because I love it. I do this because I want YOU to love it just as much.

Everybody wants results yesterday. Fast fixes. Six-week programs. Thirty-day challenges. The promise that if you just work hard enough for a short enough period of time, you’ll finally reach the finish line. But here’s the thing: there is no finish line. Real health. Real strength. Feeling good in your body. Being able to pick up your kids, travel, get off the floor, carry your groceries, hike, play, and do the things you want to do as you get older. That’s a lifetime project. Guess what?...

Today, Tovah and I toured the local middle school for our son. Our little boy is not so little anymore and honestly, it stopped me in my tracks. Twelve years ago, we were bringing him home from the hospital. Now we’re walking hallways seeing all these grown up kids, talking schedules, lockers and wondering how we got here so quickly. It’s wild! People say it all the time, but you don’t really feel it until you’re standing in it:The days are long. The years are short. I talk to women every...

Here we go again. Summer is over. We're plowing through fall and...winter is coming. As the weather shifts, you might notice your body feeling a little different; stiff joints, old injuries talking back, or just more general “sensations” than usual. You’re not imagining it.Cooler temps, lower barometric pressure, changes in daily movement and nutrition will all influence how your body feels. Sometimes those sensations mimic pain, even when nothing’s actually “injured.” Here’s what you can do...
